Re: Emacs tips and tricks

^ Tried that. It's wasn't a smooth experience like CIDER for Clojure or ENSIME for Scala. To be fair though, I probably didn't stick with it as much as the others.

I also tried eclim, but having Eclipse around just to code Java in Emacs didn't feel quite right to me.

Hero (Yuen Kwai, 1997) Solid period action with more drama than I was expecting. Great surprise. Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons (Stephen Chow, 2013) Just watched this again because of the second chapter. I still prefer the second chapter. A Moment of Romance II (Benny Chan, 1993) Not as...

A Gambler’s Story (Marco Mak, 2001) To my eyes, masterpiece. To my heart, same. The New Legend of Shaolin (Wong Jing, 1994) Insane wuxia with the always lovable Chingmy Yau. Seriously insane. You Shoot, I Shoot (Pang Ho-cheung, 2001) Not sure why, but I feel this is something our Ivan can enjoy as ...

Journey to the West: The Demons Strike Back (Tsui Hark, 2017) Dear lord what a fantastic film this is. Finally Tsui Hark goes crazy like he always desired, and takes Stephen Chow script (and what he did on the first chapter) to another level. One of my films of the year, no doubt. Gantz: O (Yasushi...

Single White Female (Barbet Schroeder, 1992) So and so. It does have its moments, but you forget about it the day after. Before And After (Barbet Schroeder, 1996) This is so underrated it pains me. One of the best Schroeder's, hands down. Barfly (Barbet Schroeder, 1987) Maybe it's just me not being...

Re: Mastodon

I use Twitter to follow Clojurists and film critics mainly. I find it easier to be up to date this way, and more often than not something interesting about functional programming or cinema have been coming from Twitter. Only problem is lately it's been more of a boredom than something useful. That's...
